On June 25, Larry June is planning to release his new mixtape Larry Bird and Slidin'  is the first leak from the upcoming project. The song has already generated a large Internet buzz. 

Larry June grew up in Bay View-Hunter's View, San Francisco and was raised by two parents who had him when they were still teens. 

At the age of four, Larry June relocated to the ATL with his mother and he was exposed to southern hip-hop for the first time and he developed a love for music. 

At age 5, Larry June traveled back and forth between the East Bay and Atlanta. During the sunny season, June would spend time with his father. They would spend alot of their time together in the studio. During these long studio sessions, Larry June was teaching himself how to play the keyboard by ear and eventually began rapping at 8. 

At 15, June released his first mixtape and showcased his own brand of "strret hop," blending the south's trap sound and the West Coast's distinctive G-Funk sound. 

In 2013, Larry June released the follow-up to his noteworthy album Cali Grown with help from Urbanlife Distribution, dubbed Cali Grown 2 and its available now on  iTunes.

Lately, Larry Junehas been very busy and sinnce early 2014 has released 4 highly successful mixtapes/FreEP's 
(Bad Dreams, Route 80. Route to Spain, and Cali Grown 3) and is gearing up to release another project, Larry Bird, on June 25 featuring production from Quality Control Music's in-house producer Deko.

DJ Fresh’s Music Career

Early Years
DJ Fresh started DJing at parties when he was only 9-years-old in Baltimore and he was also doing mixtapes. But when he was 10, DJ Fresh and his family moved out to the Bay. He was still learning his craft, but his older brother DJ Dummy was touring with rapper/actor Common (formerly Common Sense) as his tour DJ. DJ Dummy had also toured with hip-hop acts like Onyx, Smoove DA Hustler, etc. When Common did shows in the Bay Area, DJ Fresh would be asked to DJ.

Nas’ Stillmatic Tour
In 2002, DJ Fresh hit the road with Nas to support his fifth studio album, “Stillmatic.” DJ Fresh also toured with Nas for a month to promote his sixth solo album, “God’s Son.”

The Tonite Show Mixtape Series (2006-Present)
In 2006, while working on J. Stalin’s album The Real World: West Oakland, DJ Fresh put together a mixtape called The Tonite Show With Mistah Fab. It featured local artist Mistah Fab.

Today, there are 30 volumes of The Tonite Show with guest stars including Mistah Fab, Smigg Dirtee, J-Stalin, Beeda Weeda, Chris Da 5th, Shady Nate, Jay Jonah, D-Lo, Money B, Messy Marv, San Quinn, Young Gully, Yukmouth, The Hoodstarz, Sleepy D, Lil Rue, T-Nutty, Keak Da Sneak, Stevie Joe, Cousin Fik, Trae The Truth, Raekwon, Freddie Gibbs, Mac Mall, and The Jacka

Recent production
He also began producing for other local artists like Shady Nate, Bicasso, Young Gully and Mitchy Slick.

On 16 July 2013, J. Stalin and DJ Fresh released their collaboration album, “Miracle & Nightmare On 10th Street.” He also released a collaboration album with Mitchy Slick, “Feet Match the Paint,” in 2013.

In 2014, DJ Fresh released his Boomin System tape, which had guest features from Kendrick Lamar, Scarface, E-40, Droop-E, Cousin Fik, Slim Thug, Problem, IAMSU, Clyde Carson, J-Stalin, and Freddie Gibbs, Mayne Mannish, Dmac, Tez McClain, J-Super, Go Gettas, Derek Minor, Fiend and Juvenile.

On Apr 17, 2015, J-Stalin and DJ Fresh released their fifth collaboration album, “The Real World 4,” the latest installment of their Real World series.

DJ Fresh is currently working on the seventh installment of his Make The Song Cry instrumental hip-hop album series.
