DJ Fresh’s Music Career
Early Years
DJ Fresh started DJing at parties when he was only 9-years-old in Baltimore and he was also doing mixtapes. But when he was 10, DJ Fresh and his family moved out to the Bay. He was still learning his craft, but his older brother DJ Dummy was touring with rapper/actor Common (formerly Common Sense) as his tour DJ. DJ Dummy had also toured with hip-hop acts like Onyx, Smoove DA Hustler, etc. When Common did shows in the Bay Area, DJ Fresh would be asked to DJ.
