E-40 Performs At Halftime During NBA Finals (Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors)

Larry June - "Bad Dreams EP"

On June 25, Larry June is planning to release his new mixtape Larry Bird and Slidin' is the first leak from the upcoming project. The song has already generated a large Internet buzz. Larry June grew up in Bay View-Hunter's View, San Francisco and was raised by two parents who had him when they were still teens. At the age of four, Larry June relocated to the ATL with his mother and he was exposed to southern hip-hop for the first time and he developed a love for music. At age 5, Larry June he traveled back and forth between the East Bay and Atlanta. During the sunny season, June would spend time with his father. They would spend alot of their time together in the studio. During these long studio sessions, Larry June was teaching himself how to play the keyboard by ear and eventually began rapping at 8. At 15, June released his first mixtape and showcased his own brand of "strret hop," blending the south's trap sound and the West Coast's distinctive G-Funk sound. In 2013, Larry June released the follow-up to his noteworthy album Cali Grown with help from Urbanlife Distribution, dubbed Cali Grown 2 and its available now on iTunes. Lately, Larry Junehas been very busy and sinnce early 2014 has released 4 highly successful mixtapes/FreEP's (Bad Dreams, Route 80. Nas’ Stillmatic Tour In 2002, DJ Fresh hit the road with Nas to support his fifth studio album, “Stillmatic.” DJ Fresh also toured with Nas for a month to promote his sixth solo album, “God’s Son.” The Tonite Show Mixtape Series (2006-Present) In 2006, while working on J. Stalin’s album The Real World: West Oakland, DJ Fresh put together a mixtape called The Tonite Show With Mistah Fab. It featured local artist Mistah Fab. The Still Incarcerated South Sacramento Rapper Lavish D Records A Diss Track Over The Phone (Audio)

On May 3, 2014, South Sacramento rapper Lavish D (nee’ Donald Oliver) was apprehended by police on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Lavish D had been on the run from police since March as a result of a YouTube video of him and his crew beating up a member of a rival gang inside an Arden Fair Mall footlooker. According to Sacramento gumshoes, Oliver is associated with a gang on West Sacramento’s Mack Road. Allegedly tensions between Lavish D’s crew and a rival gang in Oak Park climaxed in an explosive gang war that caused a string of shootings in March that left six people wounded in just two days. The Sacramento FBI Safe Streets Task Force maintain that the shootings were acts of retribution between the two rival Sacramento street gangs.

Messy Marv

Marvin Watson grew up in the Eddy Street public housing PJ’s located in Sac Francisco’s Fillmoe District. When he was 3, his mother passed away so he went to live with his grandparents in East Oakland. When he turned 13, he went to live with father in Fillmoe. In 1994, along with some of his homies recorded his debut EP, called “Game To Be Sold” and pressed up 2,000 copies and sold them out of the trunk of his car. At this time Messy Marv was living with his aunt and uncle but after they had a falling out he was kicked out. In 1995, his released his first full-length album, Messy Sitautions on Trigga Life Records. The Secret Service handled the production on the album. The album became a big success and sold over 15,000 copies without much fanfare. It was later re-released as Death On A Bitch in 2001 on Mega Entertainment. After the release of Messy Situations, he went on to appear on countless compilations and other people’s albums. But apparently he wasn’t making any money from his albums and was still “hustling on the block,” living in his car, going from hotel to hotel, and sometimes sleeping in JT The Bigga Figga’s studio. In 1997 San Quinn took him in. In 1998, San Quinn and Messy Marv released their collobaration album Explosive Mode on Presidential Records. Fairfield producer Mike Mosley (E-40’s “Sprinkle Me,” C-BO’s Birds In The Kitchen, 2Pac’s “Ain't Hard 2 Find” ), Tone Capone (Luniz’s “IGot 5 On It”), Dwayne Wiggins (member of the 1990s soul/R&B group Tony! Toni! Toné!), and DJ Daryl ( produced Tupac Shakur’s hit single, “Keep Ya Head Up” on album Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z) contributed production for the album and San Quinn and Messy Marv hit pay dirt. Explosive Mode has sold over 50,000 copies. In 2002, Messy Marv releaed his forth studio album on his own label, Scalen. After the success of Turf Politics he began dropping albums consecutively from 2004 to in 2011 (DisoBAYish, Different Slanguages, Bandannas, Tattoos & Tongue Rings, Hustlan.A.I.R.E., Gettin' That Guac, What You Know bout Me?, What You Know bout Me? Part 2, Cake & Ice Cream, Cake & Ice Cream 2, Draped Up & Chipped Out, Vol. 2, Draped Up and Chipped Out, Vol. 3, Draped Up and Chipped Out, Vol. 4, Millionaire Gangsta, Thizz City, The Shooting Range, Bonnie & Clyde, 100 Racks, Messy Slick, Da Bidness, Blow, Blocks and Boat Docks, Neighborhood Supastar 3, Da Bidness 2). Around this time rumors were starting to spread that Messy Marv was suffering from drug addiction. In 2001, coked out of his mind Messy Marv jumped out a fourth floor window and broke both his legs and he was confined to a wheelchair for several months. In 2006, Messy Marv was was thrown in prison for nine months on weapons charges. In 2005, he was in a feud with G-Unit and Shady Records signee Obie Trice. Guce and Messy Marv released a diss track called "50 Explanations" that appeared on Guce’s 2005 album Pill Music: The Rico Act, Vol. 1. In 2008, Messy Marv started a family feud with his cousin San Quinn by calling San Quinn a "snitch" in a diss track. San Quinn quickly clapped back at his former running dog with a new diss track,Fence Hopper. But the beef eventually died down a couple of months later. In 2009, Messy Marv poked fun at Mistah F.A.B.’s recent chain snatching incident at a local Sonic drive-in restaurant. This led to F.A.B. putting out a song called "Okay" where he impersonates Messy Marv. J.T. The Bigga was also featured on the diss song. On August 31, 2013, Messy Marv was beaten and robbed inside his hotel room at the Circus Circus Las Vegas hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Winchester, Nevada. On September 25, 2013, Philthy Rich released a track dubbed "Swear to God" and called out Messy Marv. In the song Philthy Rich claimed Messy Marv contacted police after being ambushed by several hatchet men and identified his attackers. This caused an ongoing beef that lasted for almost a year. Recenly Messy Marv put out a freestyle taking shots at J. Diggs (CEO of Thizz Entertainment) and Gold Toes (CEO of ThizzLatin/Black-n-Brown). Apparently Messy Marv and J. Diggs had a falling out. A month later, artwork for his new single “Face Shots” surfaced on the Internet mocking Thizz Nation with a depiction of Thizz Nation’s logo (which features a Mac Dre face emblem) with bullet holes in it. Once the artwork was posted on Siccness.net all hell broke loose because Mac Dre fans were teed off. Today, Boss Hogg (of Dre Mobb/Thizz Nation) announced his was releasing a Messy Marv diss mixtape two weeks from called “Suicide Mission: Messy Marv Shoots Himself”Messy Marv hasn’t replied yet but he plans to release two albums on the same day I’m Not A Rapper, I’m A Cop Vol. 1/Imma Dough Fiend.

Cellski

Unsung Lakeview legend Marcel Wade (better Known by his handle Cellski) is a self-taught keyboardist/producer and Bay Area rap veteran who started his rap career at age 13. In 1988, he began his career and recording music. He worked alongside well-established mixer and sound engineer Al Eaton (who also produced on albums Life Is...Too Short, Short Dog's In The House, and 99 Ways To Die). Al Eaton had a studio called One Little Indian Studios in Oakland and Cellski spent alot of his time there honing his craft and learning how to play by ear. In 1989, Cougnut of I.M.P. took the young rapper under his wing and was thrusted into the spotlight as the warm-up act For I.M.P. performing his own songs in front of large crowds. Within a couple of years Cellski finally put out his first tape Living In The Bay. The cassette featured 4 songs ( the EP's title track "Living In The Bay," "Living In The Bay (Remix), "It's Like That," and "A Better Way"). Two of which appeared on Cellski's 1995 full-length follow-up "Mr. Predictor" which has sold over 100,000 copies. After the unexpected success of his debut album, Cellski went on to release six more albums (Canadian Bacon and Hash Browns in 1999, Mafia Moves in 2001, Mr. Predicter 2 in 2006, Chef Boy Cellski's Culinary Arts Institution in 2009, Big Mafi The Don in 2011, and his current release Chemical Baby) on his own imprint Inner City Records. Young Ziggy - "Bad Dream"

Recording artist Mason Gilbert Jr. (better known by his rap moniker Young Ziggy) was born and raised in Richmond, California. In his early teens, he discovered 2Pac, Scarface, Lil’ Wayne, and The Hot Boys and began writing his own rhynes. At age 16, Young Ziggy started up a group called Young Dunny’z in 2004-2005 with San Fran beatsmith Big Time Simon handling the production but ended up going their separate ways due to creative differences and silently broke up. As a solo act, Young Ziggy appeared on several Eddi Projex/Pay Roll Family projects including Eddie Projex's 2011 solo album Hittaz Wit Attitude. The upcoming star has recently released two installments of his Leader Of The New School mixtape series (Leader of the New School Volume 1 in 2011 and Leader of the New School Volume 2 in 2013).
